Optical cables

I try to connect my camera with an optical cable and it does not appear on device manager. Sometimes it may appear but only for a while.
Connecting the camera with a copper cable directly to the PC, everything works OK.
Most probably you are trying to connect the optical cable while the camera has already booted up (connected to the powered hub).
You must simply make sure that everything (PC – optical cable – hub – camera)is connected in a row before powering the hub. So, that there is no pending physical connection during the booting phase of the camera.
