Unibrain - Drivers & SDK Licensing Information

At Unibrain, we believe in the personal relationship with you, the customer. Hence, when you buy an SDK, either API or iAPI, we first dedicate specific support resources to accompany your developers and efforts. And when your application is running, we will prepare with you the best scenario to let you go to volume production.

Generated application copies will need a license per computer to run. Unibrain has prepared many options, in order to simplify the use of the license, control volume costs and protect your intellectual property on your development.

FireAPI™

General FireWire SDK, based on Unibrain’s ubCoreT driver suite, for 1394b and 1394a. All Windows OS.

Fire-iAPI™

DCam FireWire cameras SDK, based on MS stack for Control, display and capture. TCP/IP streaming, Windows 2000, XP.

Fire-i™ Software

Ready to use general DCam application. Fire-iAPIT based, same licensing.

Types of Licenses

		Software, product Key (PK) licensing Applies for: FireAPI, Fire-i API SDKs and Fire-i application Based on Product key code which activates the drivers for a specific firewire adapter or camera (For DirectShow IIDC camera drivers only - Fire-i API/Fire-i application). Each code is entered manually through the Authorize utility on ubCore drivers or Fire-i application.
		Volume Licensing - Unlimited Applies for: FireAPI & Fire-iAPI Development Kits, Fire-i Software. Based on Manufacturer’s hardware ID or completely royalty free. Low prices, based on a written agreement with Unibrain. Contact
