Unibrain's FireWire Technology in Space

Unibrain has been selected as provider and technical support partner for the FireWire-based OrbitVision Spherical Imaging System of the Akoya satellite range. Unibrain is proud to sponsor the project, to provide FireWire board camera modules, cables and repeaters and to help for the FireWire global interconnection design.

The Akoya satellite is a light (20 kg) multipurpose platform developed by Washington University in St. Louis and Santa Clara University, with help of Boeing Corporation as part of Air Force Nanosatellite III project.
