Fire-i™ Digital Board Camera Remote CCD technical specifications

The Main Camera Board

This board has all the electronic components of the Fire-i™ Digital Camera, except the CCD, that is placed on the Remote CCD board. The main board (as well as the Remote CCD board) has a 0.50mm (0.20”) Pitch Flexible Flat Cable / Flexible Printed Circuit Connector, with 14 circuits, as depicted in the adjacent image. The Remote CCD Board

This board incorporates the CCD, the Lens Base holder and the 0.50mm (0.20”) Pitch Flexible Flat Cable / Flexible Printed Circuit Connector, 14 circuits. The mechanical dimensions of this board and the Lens Base holder are depicted in the adjacent image. This board can be assembled to the moving part of the required machinery.

The Flexible Flat Cable

 Both the Main Camera Board and the Remote CCD Board are connected via a high reliability and density 6-inch flat cable. The adjacent picture depicts the mechanical specs of this 0.50mm pitch flexible flat cable. Detailed technical specifications of this part (Molex part no. 982660149) can be retrieved from here.

Important Note:

Unibrain provides a 6 inches flat cable, but the user can apply any 14 pin flat cable with the same mechanical specifications and shorter/longer length. The user should take into consideration that longer cables may add significant noise to the image, reducing the final image quality.
