FireDisk 800-s™ Typical Performance
Files transfer speed from or to FireDisk 800-s™ will depend highly
on the performance of the computer receiving or sending the data. Following figures are provided as an indication.
They have been
measured in typical user’s conditions, with big and small files,
using a 400GB FireDisk-800-s and a computer with the following
specifications: CPU AMD 4200+, 2GB RAM Dual Channel, 500GB HDD SATA
internal drive, Windows XP SP2, Unibrain ubCore drivers (v.
5.12), Unibrain
FireBoard-800 1394b PCI adapter.

Important Note: With Service Pack 2, Windows XP does not provide full native support for FireWire800. The maximum performance is limited by the operating system to 100 Mbps as soon as a 1394b adapter or 1394b device is detected.
To achieve full 800Mbps support, installation of Unibrains
ubCore™ FireWire Drivers is required.
