With plug’ n play convenience, FireDisk Taurus™ Hard Drives are hot-pluggable for easy cross-platform file transfer and data sharing. With the appropriate cable, Unibrain’s new hard drives can be connected to any computer equipped with FireWire 800 (9-pin), FireWire 400 (6-pin), USB 2.0 or USB 1.1 ports, making it the most universal drive ever. Long distances (up to 550m) can be obtained by the use of Unibrain’s FireWire 800 Mbps GOF FireRepeater™
and Glass Optical Fiber cables.

Ideal for a variety of applications, a 1.5 TB FireDisk Taurus™ Hard Drive can store more than 307,200 mp3 music files, more than 245 DVD movies  and around 102 hours of digital video from DV camcorders.
